Kansas City born and Nashville raised, Ruby Chaffer is a natural songwriter. Raised on Joni Mitchell, Talking Heads, and Stevie Wonder she writes lyrically witty singer-songwriter tunes while maintaining a punk edge and endless devotion to the groove.
Her catalogue bluntly discusses love, sex, insecurity, and politics beneath hooky pop melodies and fun guitar riffs.

She now resides in New York City attending NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music as a multi-hyphinate artist-producer-engineer-songwriter-bassist and front-woman of feminist punk band Betty Jo (@whoatebettyjo)
